Everton Assistant manager, Steve Round has claimed that the club’s decision to sign early this summer was the major reason behind their scintillating start to the season.
The Goodison Park team are currently in sublime form, having pocketed wins against Manchester United and Aston Villa in their opening two league games.
On Wednesday, they trounced Leyton Orient 5-0 in the second round of the Capital One Cup, in a match in which newcomer, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Mirallas-c20751, scored a brace and also picked up two assists.
The men in blue will now visit the Hawthorns on Saturday to take on an in-form West Bromwich Albion team, who notched up a win and a draw out of their first two fixtures against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.
Commenting on his team’s remarkable start to the season, the 41-year old attributed it to the management’s decision of making early signings. He explained that it had given time to the newcomers to feature in the pre-season campaign, and hence, allowed them
to gel with the squad sooner than expected.

“The two signings [Pienaar and Naismith] we made early on settled everyone down. The team is settled and you could sense that in the dressing room,” Round told the reporters.
Moyes’ aide also highlighted the fact the club’s star players are unwilling to decamp from Goodison Park – a factor which has served to settle the entire unit.
He continued, “We hadn’t lost a star name, a Lescott or an Arteta. The team could see the club was showing some ambition and that gave quite a positive feel.”
The Toffees signed the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Naismith-c34205, in July on the Bosman ruling.
Round feels that the 25-year old can go on to become a future Everton star, and claimed that he possessed all the ingredients to succeed in the Premier League.
“Very early on we realised he would settle in quickly to how we do things. He seems a born and bred Everton-type player.”
