  1. A round lot is 100 shares of a stock, just as you say in your subject heading there.

If the price of the stock is $56.72, then the price of 100 shares would be $5672.00. You just multiply the cost times 100.

(Did you really not know how to figure that out?)

  2. a round lot is a block of 100 shares.  to figure out how much buying a round lot would cost, multiply the price by 100.

  3. A round lot is an even number of shares, such as a 100, 1000, 10000000 (etc.) deal.  And odd lot would be something like 2500 shares or something like that.

  4. If the stock was asking say 10.25 the broke would buy at that price plus their commission. If you bought  an odd lot (less than 100 shares) they might tack on  a quarter point thus charging you 10.50 plus commission..

Odd lot trades 1-99 shares, round lots 100 shares blocks .

Lets say you wanted to purchase 250 shares of xyz the broker would buy 200 round lot price and the 50 at odd lot

    price.
