Question:

Round off Backhand Spring?

by  |  earlier

Heyy. I'm going to start tumbling private lessons at my local tumbling gym three times a week. With this workout regime, does anybody gymnastics or cheerleading-experienced know if I will possibly be able to do a round off backhand spring in about a month? If not, about how much longer will it take?

Thank you!

  1. me and my friend are both cheerleaders and we take gymnastics and we both learned are back handspring in about a month or less

  2. It all depends on the gym you go too. If its a good gym it is possible to get a backhandspring in a month. I know that i tried to get a backhand spring for a year and tehn switched gyms and got it in my second lesson. And it all depends on how, good you are at tumbling and how willing you are to just go for it. If your doing it 3 times a week at a really good gym i wouldnt doubt you can do it

  3. It all depends on how many hours you're spending there a week, how dedicated you are, and how strong you are. If you can religiously work on your strength and technique, even while you're not at the gym, then yes, I think you can do it. It definitely won't hurt to do some strengthening exercises at home when you don't have classes. Good luck!

  4. depending on how many hours you go a week and how much you practice I got a roundoff in like a few days. Back handsprings are harder i got it in 2 weeks then putting it together and making it look flawless takes a week or so  have fun<333
