  1. There are various regional airpasses as well as RTW airpasses.  The issue with your itinerary is that your travel won't keep you in just one region.  This leaves you with a couple of options...

You could do a RTW and just not use the final leg.  If you were to do this, you would have to travel continuously in one direction and you wouldn't be able to backtrack.

The option I would seriously suggest, however, is to find an agency that specializes in RTW tickets.  They are going to be well-versed in your options and the restrictions on each type of ticket.  They'll also be able to construct a routing that will get you the best price for where you want to go.

BootsnAll has a pretty good travel resource here:

There are others as well if you dig around a bit online.

    Good luck and safe travels!

  2. I am not sure if there is 1 airline that would go to all the places you want, but the major airlines are all in different alliances; Star Alliance, OneWorld and SkyTeam.  You can earn mileage on your frequent flier account if you fly on airlines within the alliance.  I would choose 1 alliance and stick with the airlines that are in that alliance.  You can earn mileage for a free ticket faster.

  3. If you are wanting to do a trip with multiple stops around the pacific rim there is such a thing...its called a circle pacific. You need at least a 7 day advance purchase...you have to have at least 3 stopovers and no more than 3 transfers are permitted at any one city. (Limit 16 flight coupons)

You are allowed only 1 north pacific crossing and 1 south pacific crossing.  I'm not sure you can end in London.  You probably could start and end in Brisbane then buy a separate ticket to London.  You should price both the circle pacific...the around the world ...then just have them price it as a regular ticket to see which fits your budget if you have one.  Star alliance is the largest.... The Airlines include :

Air China, Air New Zealand, All Nippon, Asiana, Austrian Group ( Austrian, Lauda Air and Tyrolean), British Midland, Lufthansa, Polish, Scandinavian, Shanghai, Singapore, South African, Spanair, Swiss Air, Air Portugal, Thai, Turkish, Qatar (new), Adria, Blue 1 and Croatia.  They serve 971 destinations in 162 countries with about 1800 daily flights.
