  1. Most recent Laptops will have a wireless card already installed, so if it's a brand new laptop you won't need an adaptor. If it's a few years old you might want to chekc up on the manufacturer's website, it'll give you the info there.

You will need to buy a router for your modem either way.

    Hope that helps.

  2. If you just bought it, and it's a relatively new laptop, it probably has wireless in it already, in which case you will just need to buy a wireless router or a wireless access point.

If the laptop does not already have wifi built in, then yes, you will have to buy both the wap/wrouter and a wifi adapter for the laptop.

  3. If it is a new model, then it only needs the adapter because it doesnt have old setgtings from being previously owned.  But defineately buy the router, because you need it anyway, and if it dooesnt work then get the adapter.

    God luck! =]

  4. You need a wireless access point and a wireless card in the laptop.  Not necessarily a router, unless you want to share your Internet.

  5. Almost all laptops have both wired and wireless connection abilities.  Just buy a router!  You will need to install it wired, just follow the directions step by step.  Then after your internet is working, unplug the internet cable and restart your laptop.  Try to connect to a network!  You should be able to no problem.
