Router BEFW11S4 linksys lag.

Question

Okay, so i play 2 games, Gunbound and starcraft. First i logged on and then i waited for my bro to log on starcraft. Then when he logged on, we both joinned a room, massive lag occurs. we are connected using BEFW11S4 linksys router. but as soon as my bro logs off, the lag ended. Then i went to gunbound and waited for my bro to get on. when he got on, we went to a 'avatar on' server and played. the lag cause us to lag a bit and it makes all our avatars have no effect. but when i log out and disconnected my wire from the router, my bro has no problem and his avatars worked just fine. Any help please?

PS: i am not using dial up or dsl, am using a cable modem.

you have to understand their is only a certain amount of information that a wireless router can handle. Try connecting straight to the router with wires that should help

Cable has it's limits, it's just a little faster than DSL.  You're probably trying to push more bandwidth at once than your ISP is allowing.  The only fix if that's the case is to subscribe to a faster (and more expensive) internet connection plan.

as you can see, he said that at the 2nd to last line that he disconnected his wire from his router, which means he was connected straight to the router with both computers....
