Router Problems!!!?

Question

Ok so when im trying to play xbox it signs me on and the tests all run fine my NAT is even open, but when i get into a game i lag out right away what coudl be the problem do i need to change something on the routers website page thing please help!!!

Lagging could be something as simple as having to much on your hard drive.  The game may be a Very large file and drains your system when you attempt to play it.  My Husband plays Diablo and found that he ended up needing to install a second hard drive to accomidate all the programs that he has installed.  This freed up space in his main hard drive and made the computer AND game run faster.

What we do is in the Main hard drive (usually the C drive) we install all the computers components and operating system.

Then on the 2nd drive (which is F for ours) we install all our Games, Movies,Music Ect.

Another Plus to running this type of system , is that if you ever get a virus or something that you can't remove, that infects your system.  You can re-format your Hard drive and it will NOT touch that 2nd drive.

Most Virus's and Trogens etc, do Not ever invade the 2nd drive.  Only the first one.

You will never loose your content on the 2nd drive.

I know this is a lot to consider, as buying a 2nd drive isn't always an option, But it's what we found out worked for us

especially when you want to have games installed that run

at a decent speed.
