Just bought the car, and would like to know what this switch does.

It's below the instriment panel, left of the steering wheel.

Has the outline of a car, a dot in the middle, and sets of brackets.

There is a small light on it which illuminates when the ignition is switched off.

It doesn't seem to do any thing, but i'm sure that the maker put it there for a reason.

  1. It switches off the ultrasonic alarm sensor when you want to leave the car with the hood down.

Otherwise, the alarm would go off every time someone walked close to the car.

  2. Does the car have an alarm? Could be to do with that. When you lock the car look through the window and see if it's flashing.

  3. Its the alarm, for when you leave the roof down, you can switch it off.

I could send you some details from a handbook if you wish.

  4. hi this could be for adjusting the hieght of the headlights  ie moves them up and down to allow for extra weight in vehicle park car in front of a wall turn lights on and turn switch to see
