  1. err 2.0 di?

  2. It's the Rover L series engine (same as 200,600 and Land Rover Freelander, Honda also used it in the Accord)

  3. Dan's correct - its Rover's own L-series turbodiesel engine, in 105bhp intercooled electronic-injection pump version (the versions without the "i" had a non-intercooled 86bhp version with purely mechanical injection pump control).

Honda used this engine in some of their Swindon-built models for a short time, but it was Rover's engine. It was used in Rover's 220, 420 and 620 models, the original pre-facelift Land Rover Freelander, the 1995-2001 Honda Civic 5dr & estate and the 1994-1997 Honda Accord.

Engine assembly was at Land Rover's Solihull plant for most of its life, moving to Longbridge only after BMW sold MG-Rover to the Phoenix consortium.

  4. bmw

  5. rover engine, i'm a female mechanic. I know what i'm talkin bout! :-)

  6. Yes, it's the Rover engine, but just to add to above, the Freelander had the BMW engine from August 2000.
