I was thinking about getting a rover p6 3500 as my first car. That's the v8 one. Would it be any good? What would insurance be like? Whats fuel economy like?

Thanks

  1. Great engine but loads of bodywork and suspension problems. Expect 14 to 15mpg around town (on a good day), a little more on a run. Insurance is cheap on a classic car policy. I had one for years and the engine never let me down but it was expensive to fuel, and that was when it was a quarter of the current price!

  2. I'm so bloody insanely jealous I'm not going to tell you

    git

  3. lol...yes we know its the v8..and what a lump they are..love the car,the sound...but it will burn a hole in your pocket unless you live in the USA.

  4. Nice choice, engine is bulletproof, bodywork will probably require lots of upkeep, fuel economy ? lol, not the car to buy if you're worried about that, insurance should be buttons on a classic policy

  5. They always used to say to make sure you got the SE version, because it was more comfortable to wait for the AA in. Enough said.
