Rowing across the Irish Sea?

Does anybody have a rough ballpark idea how long it would take someone to row a small boat by himself across the Irish Sea from Ireland to England?

I met this guy before he left San Diego on an effort to row to Australia (I'm pretty sure it was Australia).

For months he kept getting blown back towards Mexico.
