Rowing: it seems to me that girls who have lots of muscle row better?

i'm really skinny so my split is kinda high i can't get it below a 2:02 while some girls are pulling a 1:58.

If you're talking about erging, then yes, girls who have lots of muscle are able to pull at a lower split.  However, it all translates differently on the water.  Girls who have lots of muscle are stronger, but they are also heavier, so they weigh down the boat more.  If you are a lightweight, it's probably best to build your muscles up with protein and working out so that you can maximize your performance.  Also, you can convert your erg scores to how fast you would be going on the water for your weight at row2k.com.

  2. Rowing, as what kind of boat, if it is a some kind of racing boat, it is lighter but still requires, technique and strength to row faster, eat lotsa protein and workout and you will probably BEAT THE c**p OUT OF THEM.

  3. 4 seconds is negligible.  Oar technique in the water and timing are more important, as is total endurance for 2,000 meters.

    I was the skinniest guy on my crew, and tied with two others for highest horsepower per pound.
