Question:

Rowing: what should be my target time for my next 2k?

I'm a HS sophomore, just started to row a few months ago. I'm 150 lbs.

My first 2k was 8:07 (horrible I now...)

My 2nd 2k (like 1 month later) was 7:57 (still baddd.....)

And I might have another 2k soon. What should I target for my next 2k?

Would it be unrealistic for my to try to go for a 7:30 2k the next time?

P.S. I'm not really looking for specific training advices as I have rowing practices so I should be pretty well prepared.

Also am I hopeless because my 2k time sucks sooooo much?!!??

Plus, rowing is so expensive, and for me it is $500 for every season, is it really worth it??

  1. if you are a girl:
you should be good to go if you are pulling under 1:55 at the time.
thats pretty much top notch for a high school girl at that weight.

    if your a guy:
you should be pulling a 1:49 at that weight.
    that would be top notch.
