Roxelana tipped to win Golf At Goodwood Fillies´ Handicap
Roxelana is tipped to prevail in the Golf At Goodwood Fillies´ Handicap at Goodwood in England on Friday, May 25, 2012. The winner of the class-4 event will be awarded a cash prize of £4,669.
The going will be good to firm in the 1 mile race, which is scheduled to start at 17:30 GMT. A total of 12 runners have been attracted towards the event and their names are as follows: Forgive, Cantal, Roxelana, Play Street, Amber Silk, Hikma, Perfect Fantasy,
Cockney Rhyme, Glad Eye Gladys, Tinzapeas, Bint Alzain and Tweet Lady.
Out of the above mentioned runners, Bint Alzain is doubtful for the race. She is a very good runner and has got a very good record. Out of her five outings, she has only dropped out of the top three once, which is quite impressive.
Looking at the performances of the available runners, the bookies have given the best odds to Roxelana. Although she does not have a lot of experience, her performances have been pretty good, which will help her attract a lot of bets today.
The three-year-old filly has participated in a couple of events, winning one and finishing runner up in the other. She has got very good stamina, which will help her dominate proceedings today.
Importantly, the Jeremy Noseda’s trainee performed brilliantly in her most recent outing, as she finished on top of the table in it. She was rated as the favourite to win back then and lived up to the expectations of everyone.
Jimmy Fortune will be the one partnering Roxelana in the race today. He is a decent rider and has won plenty of events in his career. However, he does not have a decent strike rate, which will discourage the punters from risking money on him.
On the other hand, Forgive might also manage to make a solid impression in the race today. She has participated in three races until now, winning just once. She is carrying a very good momentum, thus there is a solid chance for her to claim the Golf At Goodwood
Fillies´ Handicap.
Forgive will be partnered by veteran jockey, Richard Hughes, who has got a terrific record at this level.
