Roxio toast product key?

Question

i found a roxio toast mac cd in my parents' cd downloads collection that i don't think has ever been used... my dad said i can use (i have a mac too) it but once i downloaded it i get a message asking me for the "product key". i think that the product key can be found on the box? however i have no idea where that box might be... it could be anywhere in my house, like in my garage in a box, or it could be long gone at the dump. is there any way to get around entering the product key or to get a new product key without buying a new roxio toast? btw i think my parents bought it at a store (not off the internet) if that helps :S.

oh and i need it because i'm trying to download a game
