England’s manager, Roy Hodgson has gone on to confirm that Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032.
The manager feels that team is already looking to be a little thin given the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Sturridge’s participation in the upcoming
game looking rather bleak, it is a winder as to how the team will perform against Ukraine.
When talking about the mercurial winger, is injury and how it might impact the team, Hodgson is reported to have said: "We were at the limit when we lost John Terry and Ashley Cole but now that Theo Walcott has had to go home and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Sturridge-c10076 is still
being monitored, [although] we think he's going to be ok, it was a good opportunity to invite some younger players to come in and be a part of the atmosphere.”
"We have enough players to deal with the game. But it's good when you have a chance to invite these younger players to come and be around the team for a short period of time.”
He then went on to reveal that Sturridge managed to train, despite the stomach cramps that he was feeling, which meant that it could be down to a late fitness test to check whether he is fit to participate in the game or not.
So far this season, Walcott has been playing rather well for the Gunners, which is why this injury has come at a rather unfortunate time.
Walcott’s recovery needs to be swift, in order for him to be able to make the Gunners squad for the coming weekend. He hasn't been a regular part of the first team this season and any injuries could only result in him falling even further down the pecking
order.
Should he fail to recover in time for the league game, then it would be safe to assume that his injury could be a semi-serious one, ruling him out for a couple of weeks.
