Roy Hodgson has come out and hailed the feeling of unity in the England camp where the players do not have any quarrels with each other and are solely focused on doing well for the Three Lions. England were in turmoil just before
Hodgson was appointed as the national team manager after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 from the national team captaincy.
Hodgson has since then come in and did well to get a handle on things and made it clear that he is the boss. Discipline on the field and behaviour off the field has been the priority of Hodgson’s reign so far as England have done
well at the European Championships by winning their group and beating the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 in the process.
Not only that, England’s veteran stars such as Terry and Gerrard have also stepped up to the mark and given match winning performances, something that was absent from the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 ranks when they last played in an international
tournament in 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Hodgson said, "I don't think there are any words necessarily that have any magic effect. I think it's just making certain that everybody realises - as they do - that if you want to be successful as a team you have to perform to
your ability and trust the people around you to perform to theirs.”
He added, "I think any national team is going to have players with egos - that's normal and I think you want that as well because it's the player with the ego who is often the good player, the player who makes the difference."
The England national team manager further added that he was happy with the way players were fighting for each other on the field and how they were interacting at the end of matches with each other as well. England’s focus now shifts
towards their quarterfinal tie against Italy which is set to take place on Sunday.
