Roy Hodgson hopes for West Brom to show more improvement in the future – Premier League Update
West Bromwich Albion manager, Roy Hodgson has urged his side to show more determination in their upcoming game, despite the team picking up a two goals to nil win over Wolverhampton Wanderers this past weekend.
The match between the two sides played out in exhilarating fashion as both teams created a number of opportunities during the game. However, at the end of the day it was the West Brom players who managed to get the better of their opponents helping the team
pick up a two goals to nil win.
Hodgson, when talking about the game is quoted to have said: "It was an important victory, an important game for us and one that I hope will help us to move onwards and upwards."
The manager then admitted that the early goal scored by his team really helped them get a confidence boost and dicated play for the rest of the game. However, he went on to applaud his opponents who put in a worthy challange during the game.
Hodgson added: "I thought that we got off to a good start with a goal but I must give Wolves a lot of credit.
"I thought they played well - I thought that their style of play is not easy to deal with, they do it extremely well and I was a bit concerned at one stage with the number of corners they got that one would result in a goal."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 took the game to West Brom all the way till the final few minutes. However, despite all their efforts and dominance, they seemed to lack a cutting edge in front of the Baggies goal and this proved to be their downfall. Despite West Brom having around
eleven corners in the game as compared to West Brom’s two, they just couldn’t make any one of them count.
West Brom are now sitting in the twelfth spot in the Premier League table and are doing far better than anyone expected them to do. However, Hodgson seems to think that there is still room for improvement from his players and hence he is hoping to see the
team perform even better in their upcoming games.
