The former West Bromwich Albion manager has hailed Cahill’s performance against Bayern Munich for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rio-Ferdinand-c31173 from the England
squad for the European Championships...
Roy Hodgson has come out and praised http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 in the final of the European Cup and eventually
won via a penalty shootout in the end.
It was a fantastic match in which Cahill played despite being a doubt at the start of the match due to a hamstring injury. Nonetheless, injury or no injury, the former Bolton centre back laboured on and produced a fine performance
to make up for the suspensions of both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895.
Hodgson who has selected Cahill in his EURO 2012 squad and omitted Rio Ferdinand highlighted the thoughts behind his decision as he said, "Any decision you make as an http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 national team manager is a difficult one. There are
so many good players out there so every time you turn your back on someone and give someone else a chance, you're opening yourself up to criticism that that person would be every bit as good as the one you've chosen."
Roy Hodgson took over recently as the English national team manager for four years after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello resigned from his post as the national team manager because of his differences with the English F.A over the John Terry captaincy
saga. Capello has already warned Hodgson that the England http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 manager seems to be up to the task for now.
The England manager further elaborated that Cahill is younger than Rio Ferdinand which means that he has a future to play for and as he is playing alongside Terry in the Chelsea line up, both of the Englishman can form the core
of the England national team backline in the near future. It will be interesting to see how England fare at the European Championships, a competition that they have not done well historically as a national team.
