The English national team starting line up will be changed when Wayne Rooney comes back for their final and most important game of the European Championships so far against Ukraine says Roy Hodgson...
Roy Hodgson has come out and admitted that Wayne Rooney will be incorporated back in the English national team line up as he is too important of a player for the Three Lions to be left out. Hodgson’s team won their second EURO
2012 group stage encounter against Sweden after drawing the first one against France.
Now the pressure is on them to at least get a draw against Ukraine to cement their place in the quarterfinal round. England did well against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015 as they opened the scoring through a flying Andy Carroll header but then they let
their one goal lead slip into a disadvantage as the Swedes scored two in quick succession in the second half. England rallied back through http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Welbeck as both the youngster scored a goal each to give the Three Lions a 3-2 win.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 also won their match against Ukraine earlier on in the day which means that England’s chances of topping their group are meek to say the least. Hodgson will indeed face a hard choice as, if Rooney has to be integrated back
into the England line up either Carroll or Welbeck have to be dropped to make way for the Manchester United man.
He said, "I welcome those kind of selection problems. I was really pleased with the performance of the front players. But http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 is a special player and, frankly, it will be hard to leave him out. I'm afraid you expect him
to get back into the team when the suspension is served."
Hodgson said, "Theo's contribution was enormous. To come on as a sub, score and set up the winner means he'll be very happy. It doesn't mean a lot. It feels a little bit strange to win something when you lose a match and go out
of a tournament."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 with defeatist mentality as it will surely be their undoing in their bid to qualify for the knockout
stages of the European Championships.
