After suffering yet another quarterfinal exit from the European Championships as they lost out to Italy on penalties, England’s manager has said that there is a good reason to be optimistic as an England supporter as the young players in the Three Lions ranks mean a bright future for them...
Roy Hodgson has come out and made it clear that England have a bright future ahead of them despite the fact that they were knocked out of the 2012 European Championships at the quarterfinal stage by Italy.
England did not impress against Italy as they were second best to Cesare Prandelli’s side for 120 minutes but Italy were unable to cash in their goal scoring opportunities. In the end, the match progressed towards a penalty shootout where England fell short once again as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 netted a 4-2 penalty shootout triumph over the English national team and left the likes of Gerrard and Terry dejected.

There were question marks before the tournament started about whether or not England will even reach the quarterfinals given that Hodgson was appointed just a few weeks before the tournament kicked off. Keeping that in mind, it can be said that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 have done well as far as the expectations were concerned.
Roy Hodgson said, "I think that with time when I look back, I won't be so disappointed with the way we have performed here and the way we have behaved and I only hope it will set a platform for the future. I would like to think there is good reason for optimism, there are some very good young players coming through, we are doing quite well at Under 21 level.”
He added, "There are young players breaking into teams, we've had a couple of them with us here. We would have had even more if there hadn't been injuries to (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006) Smalling and (Kyle) Walker.” England will now shift their focus towards the 2014 FIFA World Cup, to prepare for their next big international adventure and hopefully full fill their promise in doing so.
