Liverpool club owners are now seriously pondering on the future of their manager, Roy Hodgson, after their team suffered yet another defeat this season. Liverpool were dumped by Blackburn by 3-1 in a one sided affair at Ewood Park, which triggered the chants
from the crowd ‘you will be fired in the morning’.
The Reds are now on the 12th position in the league table. After having played 20 games this season, the 18 time league champions are just 4 points away from the dreaded relegation zone. The decision on the future of Hodgson has not been made
yet but is expected to be made within next week.
Roy Hodgson was at Fulham last season and took them to the final of the Europa League, which was a big achievement for a club of that stature and was immediately lined up for the job at Liverpool. Rafael Benitez was sacked and Hodgson was quickly signed
in.

once again pushed him further down in the hole.
After the defeat at Ewood Park Roy Hodgson refused to comment on his future, and said that he was very disappointed and dejected by his team’s performance. The future of the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan boss hangs in the balance, and there is a feeling that one would
not have to wait too long before the final verdict is out.
Meanwhile, at Aston Villa, manager, Gerard Houllier has said that he has full backing of club owner, Randy Lerner and the club's Chief Executive, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 Faulkner.
The chants of ‘you are getting sacked in the morning’ were also heard at Villa park, as Aston Villa were beaten one nil by Sunderland. This was the 3rd ground in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager Carlo Ancelotti and
Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson were the other 2 managers that were on the receiving end of similar chants.
Sunderland played well and it was ironically a player on loan from Villa http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Phil-Bardsley-c29900 that scored the only goal of the game. The defeat sent Villa to the 18th place in the league after 21 games, which is far from what the owners had expected
at the start of the season. Last season, Aston Villa fought hard but missed out on the 4th place in the league, but this year the owners had made it clear that the 4th place is what they were going for. With just 17 games left in the
season, it would be a tough task, but Houllier said that he is not at all worried about being sacked and has full confidence in the club owners.
Houllier said that the club’s Chief Executive, Faulkner, talked to him after the game and said that there is no pressure on him and he is free to do his job. The former Liverpool boss said that he has many great plans for the club and needs some time to
put them in place. He added that he joined the team late and did not have enough time to implement his plans. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gerard-c14664 Houllier said that he would make some buys in January and tie up some loose ends in the team to make the final surge at the tail end of the
season.
