  1. They've been exchanging words, not confirmed yet though from what I've seen.

That fight would be awesome though.

  2. Why am I always the devils advocate? WHY???? Ive made every good call boxing wise so far and Im STILL all by myself??? WHY IS THAT???

Roy Jones is possibly the worst fight Jermain Taylor could take...and if he has a corner worth a d**n, they will keep him from that fight to begin with.

One, Roy Jones wouldnt call him out if he didnt see something he could capitalize on...Roy isnt hungry enough to take chances like that...not to ruin his legacy now that hes on a roll.

Two, Taylor is completely burned out. He has been on a roller coaster fight schedule ever since he was bidding to be champ, from William Joppy on. Fighting Nard twice, Winky...Pavlik. Hes slowly been exposed as hard-headed...unable to heed instruction...and not very knowledgable in the art of boxing. Young, yes. Strong? Absolutely...fast? Without a doubt....smart? Hardly. He isnt being groomed well and pushed into these high profile fights back to back...he will be Antonio Vargas before long. Just too spent from trying to do too much, too fast.

For Roy Jones...again I say this. Even if Roy isnt 100 percent, put him at 70 percent. At 70 he is still faster and hits harder than most young fighters in his division. Hes adapted his fighting style's defense to compensate for his reflexes slowing, which shows he is considerably smarter and more adaptable than Jermain will ever be. As fast as Jermain is, Roy will still be faster with his hands AND his feet.

If Jermain's corner is worth what he is paying them...they will pull him out of this fight and give him a touch up fight to begin working his way back to the belt.

If Taylor DOES take the fight, even if he wins he loses. But Taylor doesnt have the strength (remember Roy fought all the way up to heavyweight...he is thick skinned at this point)...to cause any real threat to Roy.

  3. who cares? Roy is washed up and not a top tier fighter anymore. Taylor should be him easy. Taylor is still a top dog, he just ran into a Kelly Pavlik that was too much for him.

  4. Good fight. Can't wait.

  5. That will be a great fight for Roy if it is true. Should be another chance for him to exhibit his skills, as he did against Tito Trinidad, and enough competition to serve as a good warm up to a fight with Calazaghe.

  6. Bad fight for Jermaine.   If he wins,  well, he should because Roy is well past his prime.  If he loses,  which is a small posibility, the general consensus is that he was never any good to begin with.

Jermaine has little to gain here.  Roy has nothing to lose but much to gain if he wins.  It makes people believe in him once again.

After losing 2 in a row to Pavlik, Jermain should take a safe tune up.  Even world class fighters need confidence builders after consecutive losses.  Roy finally figured that out.  Now Jermaine needs to.

I've always wanted to see Taylor vs Lacey.  Now that both are defeated soundly, it might even be a better fight.  Both have much to lose.  After Calzaghe embarassed Lacey he's never been the same.

Back to Roy vs Jermaine,  The sooner the better for Roy.  He's on a roll and Jermaine is rope for him.  However, Jermaine could  gut out a decision.  He might be the busier fighter.

    Roy vs Bernard

    Jermain vs Jeff

and Joe would beat them all

  7. Sounds true. Can't wait

  8. it can be if taylor wants another lose but it will g=be a good fight to watch

  9. Jermains promoter has been talking about Jones and Lacy. It will most likely be one or the other.
