Roy Nelson asserts his relationship with Dana White is like ‘husband and wife’ – UFC News
Heavyweight mixed martial artist Roy Nelson always had trouble President Dana White. Not breaking the tradition, Nelson came up with even more bitter words this time for the boss. According to Nelson, the relationship he shares with Dana White is similar
to that of a ‘husband and wife’.
“You just got remember that mine and Dana White's relationship is like were a husband and wife," said the heavyweight. "I do the man's stuff around the house. I do the fighting, all the man's stuff and he does all the woman stuff — all the yapping.”
“He’s more the 21st century, he's the one who goes out and probably makes more money. Where as I might make sure the house is clean, and all that, but at the end of the day I still do the man's stuff — the lawn, the fighting, all the hard stuff.
“It’s one of those relationships were there's love and hate. We’re in one of those things like a speed bump. I don’t know if we need a separation from one another.”
Nelson spoke his heart out in an interview on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour.
Nelson has a strange appearance, unlike most fighters. He enters the cage with a long beard, chubby physique and short hair. White has had issues with Nelson’s physique and the way he carries himself which annoyed Nelson, as he believed it is his fighting
skills that should matter.
Nelson is probably the only guy with a chubby physique in the fight industry. A glimpse at his physique will not give you the slightest idea that he is a fighter but he is. For some reason, Nelson likes his ‘Viking’ appearance. He wants to be dominating
and he wants to be aggressive without changing the way he is.
As of now, Nelson believes White throws words to make things exciting, whereas he fights the huge guys. According to Nelson, White only knows to talk and being in the cage is something very different. White has not replied to Nelson’s comments yet, but we
are waiting for his take at the heavyweight.
