Roy Nelson wants to welcome Brock Lesnar back to the UFC – UFC News
Roy Nelson, American mixed martial artist who currently fights for the UFC, wants to be the one to welcome Brock Lesnar in UFC. Since rumours of Brock Lesnar’s return are in the air, Roy Nelson believes he should be the one to fight him first. Even though
Nelson is not a great achiever in the organisation, he still feels he can take on The Next Big Thing.
Nelson, who according to Dana White is a ‘fat jerk who does not take the sport seriously’, wants to be the person to prove his mettle against Brock Lesnar, if he returns. According to Nelson, “You know what? Brock coming back, if he does come back, I would
love to welcome him back to the UFC. That was a fight that I actually called him out on ESPN, before. But if they actually make him come back, or if he actually thinks about coming back, he'll probably come back to fight Frank Mir, because I think that's the
only fight he thinks he can win. But, you know what? I would love to have that fight with Brock.”
As of now, there is nothing for sure as to whether Lesnar will return to the UFC or will he stay with the WWE. Lesnar made his WWE return earlier this year, when he went on a rampage to severely beat John Cena, the face of WWE. Brock claimed that he is the
only genuine fighter in WWE and that he is back to bring legitimacy to the show. Brock and John Cena were scheduled to fight at Extreme Rules, a match in which John Cena walked out victorious. Although Cena had won, Brock was the one who dominated in the ring.
After the match, Brock’s dispute with Triple H led him to quit the WWE and to file a suit against the organisation.
For now, Brock is neither in the WWE nor in the UFC. Probably, he is just weighing his options. There are rumours of Brock being scheduled to face the Undertaker on WrestleMania 29 or he might go back to the UFC.
