Roy Oswalt could join Texas Rangers in June, say reports – MLB News
Different reports are coming in the media that newly signed pitcher Roy Oswalt is planning to come into the Texas Rangers by the end of June.
Texas Rangers has recently signed former Houston Astros ace pitcher with a minor league contract.
The Texas baseball franchise and its management did not immediately send Oswalt to Major League outings instead they wanted him to gain some control in the Minors before showing his skills in the big league.
In the meanwhile, as soon as this news approached in the media, the experts started to question Texas Rangers management and also started to question Oswalt’s abilities as whether he is fit enough to play in the Majors.
However, with those media talks and media speculations, some more authentic news is coming that Oswalt is planning to make a start in the Major League in June.
“I'd say there's some of that. You read about people giving up on you and you know about some of the things that were going on that they didn't know about. Last year was one of those years. Everything didn't fall into place like it was supposed to. If you were to do it every year, it wouldn't be a game,” Oswalt said in detail who was present on Wednesday in a news conference which was held for him as the Rangers management introduce him with media personals and the fans that were anxious to see a new pitcher in their team.
Later pitching coach Mike Maddux also said for Oswalt, "We're going to go on the edge of caution. We don't want to risk having any setbacks and all the hard work he's done at this point goes out the window."
Roy Oswalt is a good player and possesses some huge baseball experience. Currently he was a free agent when the Rangers signed him but he has played last season. He was an active member of Philadelphia Phillies but with back to injuries, the Phillies did not give him any new contract.
Now since he has been recovered fully, he has found a new franchise, where he can show his extraordinary pitching skills as well.
