  1. As a professional he captured IBF championships in the middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight. He also won the WBA heavyweight title in his only fight in this weight class. He is also noted for holding the WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO, NBA, WBF, and IBA light heavyweight championships at the same

That is about Roy Jones Jr. and I'm sure before he would go into a MMA fight he would train a little for the ground....

  2. each fighter will dominate in its appropriate style, i don't think mayweather can do submissions or kick and mma fighter don't stand a chance with cotto or even a average boxer...

  3. Tell me this idiot why dont your mma fighters get in the boxing ring lets see what happens to your g*y *** fighters.... all they do is hump each other in the floor and throw kicks like some b1tches.

    Be a Fu**** Man!!!!!

  4. Now here's a q we never hear.  Maybe for an encore we'll ask about a theoretical matchup between Ali and Tyson.

As far as MMA is concerned, just go here

  5. I'm a big fan of Mayweather's talent, but I don't think a boxer's stance would allow for the kicks that would be permitted in a mma fight, let alone the ground game. I know this guy doesn't have the talent of either Roy or Floyd, but checkout this Youtube clip.

  6. Jones and Mayweather both would not stand a chance in a MMA matchup. MMA and boxing are two different sports. I've seen boxers go into MMA and have poor outcomes and I've seen MMA fighters try boxing and have poor outcomes as well.

  7. They know they wouldn't last in an MMA fight they just say it for bravado and image. If you still don't agree then check out UFC1 where you get to see an established boxer against a grappler. The boxer does not get one punch in.

  8. stand up-yes

    ground/submission-no

  9. Ok, can we put this debate to rest already?

They are 2 completly different sports.

If a boxer went to MMA, he would probably get beat.

If a MMA fighter fought a boxer in a boxing match, he would get destroyed.  ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED.

If they each trained for the other sport for about a year:  The boxer would stand a good chance in an MMA fight if he learned takedowns and moves.

If a MMA figter practiced boxing for about a year. HE WOULD STILL GET DESTROYED.

MMA is boring as h**l.  2 people wrestling on the ground for 2 minutes before someone taps out is pretty f'ing boring.

why would a boxer even want to do MMA.  Why would anybody.  Boxing and MMA are 2 DIFFERENT SPORTS.  Why aren't you asking if an NFL player would fight MMA, or a baseball player?  Boxers aren't MMA fighters either.
