  1. You cant be serious Its Mike Tyson Hands Down it honestly would last 1 round if jones came to fight. JOnes could run around for 12 rounds but for what it will only get him a unanumise lose.

  2. Before I give my answer, understand that Roy Jones, Jr. is one of my favorite fighters in my lifetime.

With that said, I truly feel that Mike Tyson would make sure that Jones never makes the final bell. Yes, Roy Jones, Jr. was very quick in his prime, but Tyson wasn't bad himself. Despite Roy's speed, he would not be able to avoid EVERYTHING that Tyson throws. Roy can run, but he can't hide..... forever. Though Jones got knocked out late in his career, I think his chin would still be a weakness even in his prime. Lets not forget that Jones would be taking punches from a very dangerous heavyweight and he was knockout by light heavyweights. It would only take one vicious shot from Tyson to end the night. Also, Tyson was frustrated by those bigger, stronger and knew how to work their jabs. Jones doesn't possess that size advantage and he doesn't use the jab enough, which would make walking down Jones easy for Tyson.

  3. Tyson. Not even close. How can anyone even ask this question?

  4. tyson..jones couldnt contain the animal in tyson

  5. Mike Tyson ko or tko within 4 rounds

  6. that is tough. but i would say Roy Jones Jr. fundamentally sound fighter!

  7. There are reasons for weight divisions!!!!!

Jones did go up and win the heavyweight title, but he was smart enough to pick the light hitting Ruiz to do it!! A powerful heavyweight (like Tyson) could kill or seriously hurt a man 50lbs lighter!!

  8. Let me remind people that a fighter's PRIME is between 25-27 (give or take a year).  What Tyson did in his early twenties still makes me burn up my TiVo, reliving the "glory years". . . .but it wasn't Mike's PRIME.

Tyson's prime is actually hotly debated because he really didn't do his best work during that time.  His best stuff was when he was still younger-than-prime. . . knocking out stiffs and scared has-beens in under a minute.  But your question asks " both prime" so. . . .

I say Roy would have outhustled, outworked, and outlasted Tyson (Mike's prime hit around 1992-1993 or so. . .definitely not his best times). . . . Roy's prime was a showcase of boxing style and defense. . .and punches from weird angles.

I go with Roy on this one, but I'd put 20-yr-old Tyson to beat ANY version of Roy. . .hands down.

  9. IMO, I'm sure that many would want to see a great defensive effort and speedy combinations from Jones, but the difference is too great. Tyson big and early walk through.

  10. Mike Tyson by unanamous decision. That'll be a fight to see. And it won't be short like some of the fights I see today. It'll raise eyebrows and make Don King's hair grow 5 more inches.

  11. now before i answer this understand one thing mike tyson wasn't no pushover.he was one of the best in his prime.he was fast could move and hit hard as h**l.roy was a good fighter but he has only fought one heavyweight and that was a heartless john ruiz.roy wouldn't even defend the title.he droped back down to light heavyweight and got ko'd by a skinny tarver.if tarver can ko him what do you think a 20 year old tyson would do.tyson would ko him in 3 rounds or less.I don't think you understand just how hard tyson hit.
