Royal British Family?

Do you agree or not agree that the royal British family are getting away with to much and are not good?

I think their methods and ideals are really outdated for the older bunch, and the younger ones are just not serious enough. . . I don't think most of them are bad people, but bad for their country in general.  I think it is time for a TRUE democracy the world over.  We all should have the right to make a choice about what is going on in our country.  It should be a situation of mandatory voting, where every vote counts. . . kind of like an untampered poll. . . hmmmmmm

Boy, I think I have BIG dreams and wishes sometimes :)

regardless of anything the royal family are average people. they just have a higher position in society.

for example, prince harry & prince william are average men growing up, i dont think at all they are gettin away with too much. theyre just living a normal life outside of royalty.

..i would also like that the queen be the queen of my country too..i live in a country from europe..who lost the monarchy..one day a prince from the family was invited to talk on the radio..and i felt such a respect..like having a real identity..like i am somebody..not ..nobody...or ''common people''

The Royal family is a national symbol, I keep reading about people saying that they cost too much this and that. Well they rake in millions thanks to tourism and I would tell people to concentrate on other important issues such as. Whats costs this country M(B)illions?? That is the real question and the answers are too obvious. Immigration, Dole-minded people and the worst one is the E.C.C which the U.K pay just to be a member and make 3rd world countries like Spain better while we Engaland desend into 3rd world status.

Doesn't matter what you think mate. In Britain, 82% of the population want the monarchy, and Australia doesn't really matter as much as other crown-dependent territories like Canada.

yes, they are not even the true royal family, time time (channel 4 UK) has proven that our true blood royal is an aussie who ironically doesn't believe in monarchy. so yes very much so we should abolish them, they are too old a tradition and a mere tourist attraction they don't do much any more.

I agree that the royal British family get away with too much.  I wouldn 't go so far as to say they aren't good ppl.since I don't know them, but I don't think they have the respect they used to have.  Most of it went away when Princess Diana died,and Sarsh Ferguson jumped ship.

What exactly do they 'get away with?'   I don't know any other octogenarians who put in a working day like Queen Elizabeth II. She swore an oath long ago to serve her country and her people and she has done so, steadfastly ever since.She is driven by what she sees as 'her duty'. She also has terrific sense of humour and is a great example to us all.God help us in Britain if we were only represented by the likes of Gordon Brown.
