We are driving down to the port the day before our cruise. I would like to know the weight limit for Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Sea? Is it per person or per room? This is our first cruise. How many are we allowed to carry-on? What size do they have to be?

  1. First of all, have fun on your cruise! I've been on 2 RC cruises and 1 Carnival cruise and nothing was said about weight limits. There were 4 people in my stateroom and we each had 1 piece of luggage. We were traveling with other people who brought 2 pieces each. I don't think they really restrict you when it comes to luggage.

Edit: I just looked it up on rc.com and it says you can have 200 pounds of personal property per person.

  2. There is no limit -but remember you have to carry it!!  They will take your luggage when you get there and put it in your room for you.

After the cruise you retrieve it from a warehouse type hub, and it's up to you to haul it back to your car.

Do not try to carry on any liquor - they will take it away from you.  You can however, pack it in your "checked in" luggage.

  3. The weight limit is 200 pounds per person ...

Q:   How much luggage may I bring onboard?

A:   Each guest is allowed to bring up to 200 pounds of personal property onboard the ship. Keep in mind that airlines may charge for excess or oversize luggage. Charges incurred for excess or oversize baggage are the sole responsibility of the passenger. Each airline has a different limit on the amount of luggage they allow. Please contact your respective airline to check their baggage allowance.

  4. I'm pretty sure there is no weight limit for a cruise ship, however, do keep in mind that the luggage will be in your room, which is really small to begin with.
