Can anyone tell me the best/cheapest way to get from LAX to wherever Royal Caribbean launches their cruise ships? Some kind of shuttle thing would be great, or if you have any idea about a rough estimate for cab service

  1. Catch the LA Airport Shuttle to The Port of Los Angeles World Cruise Center in San Pedro. Schedules/cost: 1-800-311-5466. It takes about an hour once you're on the bus.

Royal Caribbean should be able to arrange transport for you for $25 - 30. If yoy arrange it this way, they should meet you at the baggage claim area in the airport.

    A cab is about $50.

  2. I would buy a transfer from the cruiseline.  If there are any problems with the flight, then the line will try to hold the ship for you.

  3. Royal Caribbean ships depart from Pier 93A in San Pedro.  There are shuttles that RCL operates for their arriving passengers at LAX.  These transfers are generally included in the price of an Air Sea package.

A Taxi is certainly possible but it would be costly especially with traffic.

My suggestion, contact Royal Caribbean and ask them directly about the shuttle service to and from the airport.  Remember now, you got to get back from the ship at the end of the cruise as well!  I can assure you that you will not be the first or the last person to inquire about that.  Worse case, you can always take a taxi.
