I'm 20 and taking and going on a cruise with some over 21 cousins and wanted to be able to go everywhere that they go. So, I was thinking about trading cruise cards with my mom and partying on. But, it's obvious that i'm not in my late 40's, so does your exact age come up when the card is scanned or does it just show up as over or under 21?

  1. You don't have to be 21 to drink on a cruise anyway. Thats just in the US....Cruises follow different laws than the US. I think the age is 18 or 19....call your travel agent and check....

  2. RC used to give card of different color for those who under 21. And drinking policy is: use must be 21

  3. You can not use your moms card. You can however have her sign a release to allow you to drink on your own card.

  4. if your mom is gpoing she can sign a waver when you enter the ship to allow you to drink. Best answer plz

  5. You have to be 21 to drink and even if you turn 21 during the cruise, they list your age for the duration of the cruise as whatever you are the day you get on board, so even if you turn 21, you can't drink legally on the ship.

I was just on the Liberty of the Seas a month ago and they busted several underagers who were using their parent's SeaPass cards to get into the bars.

When you get on the ship, they take your picture.....when they swipe your card, a picture comes up and if it isn't you, they will report you.

The link is a direct one to the RC age policy:

  6. Well since you're in international waters you might be alright with being over 18.

You could always 'accidently' grab your mom's card if someone ask. ;)
