What qualifications do you need to work on land at RC? Or any cruise line really....I mean as in you work at the counter checking people in for their cruise? Is there a site to help with this info? Thanks!

  1. royal carribean cruise line is based in Miami, Florida.

    royal carribean website

    http://www.royalcaribbean.com/ourCompany...

  2. Royal Caribbean has offices in Oregon, Kansas and Florida.  The position you are applying for depends on what qualifications are needed.  If you are looking to be a reservations agent of course very little experience is needed, but if you are looking for marketing or something like that obviously education would be required.  I am a previous employee of Royal Caribbean and loved the years that I worked for them.  I did start out as a reservations agent and then moved into customer service and then a loyalty agent and then loyalty agent assist.  It is a great company to work for, however they did just lay off 300 people so this is probably not a great time to be applying for any cruise line.  https://jobs.rccl.com/jobs/rccl_jobs.nsf is the website to go to for available jobs

  3. Royal Caribbean has its headquarters office in Miami, Florida.  The RC web site has some information about jobs.  But one way to work for a cruise line is to be a cruise consultant and that would require you to have training as a travel agent, either through completing a school's course or by working in a travel agency.  Many times the people who work at the counters checking people in for cruises also work on the ship in various capacities.  So after everyone is checked in they get on the ship and go also.

But you should for sure go to RC's web site. All of the cruise lines operating out of the US have jobs information and a link on their web home page. So You need to contact the cruise lines directly. On their web sites you will find a link to jobs, employment, human resources or some such link that will give you information about their positions. Some sites even have current vacancies they are recruiting for.

Royal Caribbean is the parent cruise line for its partner cruise lines, Celebrity, Azamara, and some others. So in contacting RC you can ask about the others

    ROYAL CARIBBEAN:

    AZAMARA:

    CELEBRITY:

    http://www.celebritycruises.com/home .

  4. i would think that you could probably go on royal caribbean's website and look at job openings.  i know their corporate office is in miami somewhere.  they may be able to guide you.
