  1. It is kind of like the airport.  You have checked luggage and carry-on luggage.  The checked luggage you give to the porters outside the terminal and they will deliver it to the ship.  Make sure your ship and cabin number are clearly identified on the luggage.  The luggage gets x-rayed before it is put on the ship.  The ship's staff will then deliver your luggage to your cabin.

You can carry-on luggage that is about the same size as you can with an airplane.  It will be x-rayed and you will have to go through a metal detector just like in the airport.  Once you board, you should have your room key.  Go to your cabin and drop off your carry-on luggage.  If you are one of the first on, you may be too early to go to your cabin.  In that case you will have to keep your carry-on luggage with you until about 1:00 or 1:30.  I suggest you either explore the ship or go to the windjammer (the buffet - on the same deck as the pool) and have lunch.

You should have all your valuables in your carry-on.  Also, if you want to go swimming before the lifeboat drill, then put your swim suit in your carry-on luggage.  Your checked luggage may not make it to your cabin until after dinner, so put anything you will need prior to that time in your carry-on luggage.

Once you unpack, your luggage will fit under the bed.

  2. Prior to checking in the porters will take your luggage so it can be examined and its returned to your stateroom later that day. After you check in you board and are free to roam the ship. If you check in early and have a long time prior to the ship leaving you can leave the ship and explore the area.

  3. When you arrive at the ship there will be a place to leave your luggage.  They will arrange for the luggage to be sent to your cabin on the ship.  Make sure that you take a carry-on bag with you for the things that you will need for the first few hours - items like bathing suit, etc.

When you are on board stroll around the ship to see its beauty.  You can go for a swim.  There will be lunch available for you as well.  In other words, your cruise starts as soon as you are on board.  Enjoy!

  4. You get a card and the room attendent puts your stuff in front of your cabin. Hassle free

  5. im going on a rc in the summer, which are you going on please email me cheerbabiiex33@yahoo.com and i heard they have to like scan it and you don't get it back for awhile so make sure you have an extra small bag with your bathing suits and such so you dont have to wait around. they also have an emergency practice thing in case it's sinking like a practice to know where the life boats are.

  6. At the cruise terminal, baggage is given to the porters for loading to the ship Make sure that your suitcase is uniquely marked so that someone does not take your luggage by mistake. Identification tags are a must, so even if your luggage ends up in the "wrong"' hands, it can easily find its way back to you.

Your luggage will be delivered to your cabin and left outside in the passageway by the crew soon after you have boarded the ship.

Once you have checked in and have had a look at your cabin, depending on time to departure, you are free to explore the ship, or even leave the ship and explore the port area. If you do leave the ship, remember to be back on board at the time stated at the gangway. The ship will not wait for wayward passengers, it will sail without you!

    Enjoy your cruise.

  7. its sounds like you have already gotten a lot of good answers but i just want to add a few things. like others have said they take your luggage before you get on the ship and then sometime that night they deliver it to your room. BUT it can be later when they deliver it so make sure to pack a carryon that has the clothes you want to wear to dinner that night and maybe even a swimsuit in case you want to go swimming once you get on the ship. as soon as you get on the ship you can always take the carryon to your room. the last cruise that my family went on, we didnt get our luggage until about 8:30 that night but we had packed everything that we thought we would need that night in our carryons.  and once you get on the ship you are free to do whatever you like. it is always a good idea to use this time to explore the ship(especially if you get on early because its not as crowded then) and you can get a quick snack or go swimming or anything. once the ship is sailing for a little bit and sometime before dinner starts probably there will be a muster drill which is when you have to put on your life jacket and go stand where you would have to stand if the ship was on fire or sinking or anything but that shouldnt last to long and if you board early you should have plenty of time to explore before it ever occurs. i would recommend going to the top deck and watching as the ship pulls out of port as it is pretty cool how it is done and is exciting since it is the real beginning of your experience!!

i hope that this was of some help! feel free to email me if you have any other questions my email address is jb93sweeper@yahoo.com

    have fun on your cruise!

    katie
