Has anyone done the swimming with the dolphins encounter in Cozmuel Mexico? Is it worth it or should we do the private beach time excursion instead? Anyone with any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

  1. Only you can decide whether this excursion is "worth it".  It is expensive, but you can book it on your own and save a little.  Coz is very easy to do on your own - provided you make sure you get back to the ship on time, because they won't wait for you if you're late.

You can go on line [Chankanaab Park] and get details about the activity.  Take a cab from where the ship docks and go to the park.  It's a beautiful park with lots of activities.  It's easy to get a cab back to town, too.

For lots of comments about this and other activities, go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards", then go to "Ports of Call", then "Cozumel".

  2. i just got back from key west, absolutely breathtaking. you must eat the "original" key lime pie too while you are there. if you are into deep sea fishing, it will cost around $400.00 for the entire day, that is a good rate. oh, and don't forget to drink a mojito!

  3. We did a powerboat excursion in Cozumel's, Mexico.  It was very fun and they took us out to a private beach.  Me and my husband did this though Carnival, but if it is offered on Royal then I would highly suggest it.  They provided transportation to the place and back and lunch.

Cozumel is very pretty and the water is very clear compared to the beaches in the states.  All the shopping is right there at the port too.
