In the first match of the day, Rajasthan Royals humbled visitors Deccan Chargers by five wickets with two deliveries remaining in the innings as they successfully chased the target of 197 runs to win the match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
Deccan, who chose to bat on winning the toss, batted superbly and amassed a mammoth total of 196 runs on the board and had almost sealed victory before Rajasthan batsmen made a collective effort to chase down the huge total as they exhibited tremendous resolve while batting second.
