Royal Empire tipped to be competitive in 32Red.com Handicap (London Mile Qualifier)
Royal Empire is set to shine in the 32Red.com Handicap (London Mile Qualifier) at Kempton in England on Thursday, August 30, 2012. He has not raced at this venue before, but this will not be a problem for him, as the conditions will definitely suit his running
style.
The going has been described as standard in the 1 mile race, which has attracted a total of 10 runners. Most of them are young and inexperienced, but they certainly have the potential to entertain the spectators at Kempton.
Although, there are some excellent competitors lined up for action in the race, yet the bookies have been impressed with the record of Discoverer, who has appeared in just four races until now.
The young runner has been successful on a couple of times whereas finished as a runner up and third once each in his career. This shows that he is highly capable of battling for the top positions and the punters will definitely be attracted towards risking
money on him.
However, Royal Empire will also get the attention of everyone, as he has the potential of challenging the best in the business at this level. He has been given a general starting price of 11 to 4 by the bookmakers, which clearly shows that they expect him
to be battling for victory today.
The three-year-old colt does not have a lot of experience, but he has got the speed and stamina to cause a few problems for his opponents. He has been highly competitive in the races he took part in and his fans will be expecting a strong run from him.
The Saeed Bin Suroor’s trainee made his debut in July 2012 and was rated as the favourite to succeed by the bookies back then. He is a very well bred runner, thus everyone had faith in his abilities and he did not disappoint them in the end. He took the
top spot comfortably and gained a lot of confidence.
However, the talented runner was unable to repeat a similar show in his most recent outing, as he finished third, despite being rated highly once again. He will have to be at his best to regain the confidence of everyone and his jockey, Frankie Dettori will
be looking to guide him to the top.
