I am looking to start self employed doing the above job as the money looks excellent. I ws wondering if anyone else out there has done this and could answer the following questions:

How many hours do you have to work roughly to bring in good money?

Do you delive just to your local area or nationwide?

Roughly on average how much money do you get a month on the hoursyou answered in the question above?

Is it worth doing?

Would I have to pay to have the Roya Mail livery on my van? If so how much would this cost?

What insurances do I need and how much would these be roughly?

I know there is a lot of questions but this would answer most of my queries

  1. I'm a courier and can answer some of your questions although I've not worked for royal mail myself.

If you are looking to be a courier, royal mail are traditionally not the best people to work for.  You will have to work long hours and be very flexible with your working times. I started work at 3.30 am yesterday , some nights I don't get home until 10p.m depends on where you go, I deliver nationwide.  I can't really answer your other questions as you've not really told me what size van you are looking into buying.

The website below should give you all the information you need www.link4couriers.com
