Question:

Royal Marines enlistment application

A long story short, I am finishing up my summer "History of American Warfare" class (no idea why I decided to waste my summer), and I could use some help. Being that I am an American living in America, there is something I need, but just can't seem to find.

Does anyone know a website, or can give me a link to where I can view or download a Royal Marines enlistment application from?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

  1. www.royalmarines.mod.uk

everything you want should be on there

  2. you can't get an enlistment form for the royal marines, you can only get an application form when you go into the armed forces office and ask. so you being in america means your pretty f***ked in retrospect to getting an enlistment form. but good luck with what your doing anyway.

  3. You can try the British Consulate near your city. They might be able to dig one up for you. I say this because Commonwealth Citizens are allowed to join up so I suspect there would be applications at the consulates for picking up.

You might need an appointment with an attache' to explain exactly what you're doing. If you're lucky they might just put one in the post.

Normally it's like the other respondent said: it's a walk-up to the recruitment centre (AFCO), have a quick chat and pick it up.

  4. I don't think you can join the British Royal Marines being an American.  I understand that we are allies and we fight along side each other in Iraq but I don't think we are that close.  Just like how the US Marines don't accept foreign immigrants, I think they won't allow you to join as well.  In order to find out, you'll have to go to a recruiting station in Britain. They are considered as hard or even harder than the US Marines.  Good luck!
