  1. 48 Working hours. Sunday don't count you got to Tuesday.

  2. They're only open half day for the collection of parcels and they don't open Sunday, so I would assume they mean two working days - Tuesday.

  3. This means they want you to wait 48 hours for the parcel to get to where the pick up area would be.  If you were to miss your parcel...the delivery person will not just drive straight back to the place for it to be picked up before returning to his rounds.  That would be a waste of gas/petrol!

I have missed parcels a few times and waited 48 hours to get it.  Friday, if you missed it, then go Monday to the pick up.  I have missed a parcel on a Friday and it was there Monday.

It does not mean you ONLY have 48 hours.  That is rather ludicrous if you think about it!  Usually they hold a parcel like this for one to two weeks before returning to sender.  You have to remember...most people work during postal hours and have to arrange pick up.

Do not forget your ID to prove who you are when you go!

  4. Postie here - 48 hours or 2 working days before it is expected to get to the collection office.  Beware it can take longer during busy times.

If the item is recorded the callers office will keep it for 7 days and then return it to sender - all other items are kept for 21 days then returned.

If the item needs signing for make sure you take proof of identity with you.  Passport, Photo Licence or ID card are best.
