can you send a recorded delivery letter to a box number in the united kingdom,

  1. I work for royal mail and as far as i know,

    If the PO Box is in a sorting or mail center then yes you can send a recorded letter to a mail box.

    What they will do is when the letter reaches the sorting office where the mail box is they will then take the letter and keep it safe and post a red note into the mail box stating they have a recorded item.The owner of the box will then go to the desk show I.D and then sign for the recorded item.

    You see even if a item is sent to a mail box it still has to go through a sorting office.

    This is where it will be redirected to the booth where all special or recorded items are kept until collected by a postman or the named person on the item.

  3. Who's going to sign for it?

    I think if you did, the postie would pop one of those collection notices in the box, so the recipient has to collect hinself.
