  1. Depends on how it was sent ' Royal Mail runs  a separate operation called Parcel Force which handles the larger packages . If you are not in the now  take it to your local Post Office and leave you a card . You can pick it up there at no extra charge .( bring an ID ) Smaller parcels can be sent regular mail 1st Class or 2nd Class If no one in and the letter box is too small they will take it back to the local sporting office and leave you a card telling you where to collect it  . They are only open in the mornings  usually . Same applies if parcel is " signed for " or " Special Delivery " , this latter one is a guraanteed tracked delivery .

  2. wait for it to arrive!

Seriously... If the parcel is small enough, the postman will deliver it along with your normal mail... if it's a bit larger, then it will be delivered by a seperate parcel delivery service... in either case, just listen for the doorbell.

If you're not home when they try to deliver it they will either leave it with a neighbour, or take it back to the depot... but they will leave a red card which tells you exactly what to do to get your parcel... it even gives you a phone number to call if you want it redelivering.

    it really is that simple.
