Royal mail sending a letter without a streetname?

iv been sent a letter that is important and found out today it has no street name on it for some reason they forgot to write it on. it does however have the postcode and name and town etc. will the letter still be deliverd?

  2. yeah it will as long as it has full postcode and the building number it will be totally fine...=] 100% sure lol otherwise look on Royal mail address finder for the street name!it's a good and easy way to figure out the street!good luckaaay =]

  4. It should be.  You're postcode will narrow it down to your street.  If it doesn't have your house number on it, they'll probably work that out from you surname and the address on other post your receive.

Postcodes are made up of various elements: in the postcode N1 4AD, the '4AD' has a 'sector number' and a 'round number': these tell the postman what street (and other location) it is.  So long as the house number/name is included (because that can't be got from the postcode) your letter will be delivered.

  6. yes but you might get 1 or 2 days delay...if who has it at the sorting office decides to pass it by.
