This guy owes me royalites from a song I wrote that was played on the radio but he refuses to pay me saying that is up to ASPCA.

I know he is full of **** and just doesn't want to pay me. Should I call the radio station? How do I get my royalty for airplay?

  1. You register your song with ASCAP.  Then they collect money from the guy.  Or send their lawyers after him.

  2. Radio stations normally won't play music unless it's registered somewheres to pay royalties or the Song writer gives permission to play it royalty free.

But if the Song is registered with ASCAP (which is a music royalty rights company) it will be for you to contact them to get funds owed to you.

But the radio station will basically tell you to prove it, and then the fight won't be enough for real payment (as royalties don't pay much money)

Best thing to do is to talk to a music royalty lawyer in Nashville or NYC for your real legal recourse

  3. Call the station...
