Rubber bands on braces changed colors????

Question

i went to the movies and when i got home i realized that the rubber bands on my braces changes from purple to an olive green and from aqua to an apple green...do you think that the orthodontist will let me change the bands to the origonal color (he takes off the ones i have now and put in new ones)? what others foods will change the color of my braces?
