  1. It really depends but I'm guessing they will stop hurting by your birthday. I hope they do. Take some Tylenol or Ibuprofen to ease the pain. Also a big help is Orajel. It numbs the pain almost totally.

    Hope this helps. :)

  2. i have braces too, if they still hurt, which they probably should, you can just get used to them or take some aspirin, but don't over do it, you could end up with a life long problem.

  3. Well I have them on both... and they both hurt so what I do is only put them on when I sleep and for the whole day I don't wear them

  4. First, take some ibuprofen (Advil or Motrin).  It's anti-inflammatory, so it should ease any jaw discomfort caused by the rubber bands.

Second, a pain-relieving cream or gel (like Orajel) should help to relieve any sores caused by the rubber bands rubbing up against your skin or the inside of your cheek.

I think your teeth will feel much better by your birthday, although I can't promise they'll be 100% better.  Your teeth will look great after your braces though, and it will all be worth it!

    Good luck.

  5. You just have to keep wearing them so you get used to it.  If you go a while without wearing them and then put them in again it will hurt like h**l so I wouldn't recommend doing that, even though I did.
