Rubberbands/braces/time?

Question

I've been told my teeth are perfectly straight it's just a matter of matching up my left side with my right side, so for this case I've been wearing rubberbands, just got them yesterday. I wore rubber bands previously, to my recollection for only a month or two. Now, my dentist did tell me this was the last thing, then they are off! I asked him how long does he think and he said he's not sure it's just up to me, so if I wear them everyday all day, how long do you think? I'd just like to know from other people's experiences, because boy am i anxious to get these off!!

I only needed mine on for 2 months, but I belieev that everybody varies.

I have the same problem. Except i never wear mine. Supposedly 8 weeks of 12 hours a day should straighten it out.
