I am going to the orthodontist in 7 days and I have been wearing rubberbands, but not really as directed. Are there any tricks to make them work faster? To make up for lost time?

  1. I would put as many on as you can but not more than 4. Whatever you are comfortable with would be best. I would just wear probably 3 at night and 2 in the day. I'd take some ibuprofen at night.

  2. 2 rubber bands won't help.

there is nothing you can really do ex cept wear them constantly 24/7 for the next 7 days. it should be enough time to get them moved.

  3. You can try wearing 2 rubber bands, this will cause more tension. It can be painful, but it may do the trick for you.

  4. i would tell ur ortho and they will tell you what to do...dont duble the bands...you can damage your teeth and coste you more money

  5. Just wear them like you are supposed to wear them and DO NOT put on more than one it is not good. If they ask about how much you have been wearing them tell them the truth.

  6. double up at night. before you go to bed, put on 2 bands instead of one. worked for me!
