I heard two different things and i want to know if Rubbing Alcohol works as an astringent. Some people say it works wonders while others say it strips your skin of moisture and makes you break out worse. Should i just go buy some sea breeze astringent instead?

  1. ummm i dont think that would be too healthy for ur skin...try baby shampoo; it removes all the oil out of ur skin without damaging it :D

  2. I've used it in the past when I've run out of astringent. It tends to dry my face out, but doesn't cause break outs on me. I'm just sure to moisturize afterwards. And don't expect it to cure you of zits if you have them. Obviously, the rubbing alcohol would be unmedicated.

  3. rubbing alcohol is really bad for your face because it drys it out and it's WAY too rough on the face.
