Rubik's Cube Solving..?

Hello!

I've got a Rubik's Cube and book about it. I've managed to solve the cube using the book, but without It, I don't get very far. Any tips on how to solve it?

i had the same problem until i memorized the algorithms. then its up to u to use which algorithm when.

My brother can do a 3 by 3 a 4 by 4 a 5 by 5 he can do them all in less than 1 minute and he's getting the 6 by 6 in a few days he went and looked it up on youtube and eventually he just started to memorize were the pices should then he learned everything else.

well heres my advice, btw i can solve it in 40 seconds, but anyway, just keep solving it with the book, then soon youll start memorizing the first couple steps then eventually sove half of it with the book then finish it off with the book. Soon youll memeorize most of it and youll just have to refer back to the book for a few move. And finally you can solve it without the book and youll get faster if you keep practicing. With just a little more practice, you will get there.  If the book is difficult to remember, you might do better with visual solutions.
